• May 18, 1839: Established as Apostolic Vicariate of Egypt and Arabia from the Apostolic Vicariate of Aleppo in Syria
• 1851: Renamed as Apostolic Vicariate of Egypt
• January 27, 1951: Renamed as Apostolic Vicariate of Alexandria of Egypt
